About Us
We’re Greg and Tony, a couple together 25 years who both have a lifelong passion to help animals. We’ve rescued several animals and have always said that we want to retire to a farm where we can focus on our rescue efforts full-time. Wattles Inn was created as part of our plan and serves two very important functions. First it provides other animal lovers and advocates a home away from home where they can visit our sanctuary and even pitch in and muck some stalls. Secondly 100% of the proceeds from Wattles Inn and Wattles Inn in the Middle goes to our animal sanctuary, Broome Animal Sanctuary.
Wattles Inn and Broome Animal Sanctuary are made up of 25 acres located in the Catskills in upstate New York. The inn is the namesake of our first farm animal rescue and BAS ambassador Wattles. Wattles is a "Red-Wattle breed" pig that can grow upwards of 1,200 pounds. While staying at the inn guests can request a private tour of the sanctuary and even meet Wattles or any of the other farm animal rescues that call our sanctuary home. Wattles loves when visitors volunteer at the sanctuary while staying at the inn.
